In the aftermath of sexual assault claims against the actor, Chris Noth will no longer be a part of the CBS series “The Equalizer.”
Noth will no longer be a part of filming “effective immediately,” according to a joint statement from Universal Television and CBS.

On “The Equalizer,” in which Queen Latifah plays, Noth portrays a former CIA director. At least one upcoming episode will include Noth.
Chris Noth has been fired from ‘The Equalizer,’ amid sex assault allegations. Noth’s representatives did not respond to requests for comment on the “The Equalizer” decision.
In an article published last week by The Hollywood Reporter, two women accused Noth of sexual assault. Noth has categorically refuted the charges, which extend from 2004 to 2015.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, who appear in the show, released a joint statement on social media on Monday, stating they were grieved by the claims against Noth but stood behind his accusers.
“We support the ladies who have come forward and shared their traumatic experiences,” the three said in a joint statement. “We see that it must be a difficult task, and we applaud them for it.”
