Ali Nuhu Mohammed (born March 15, 1974) is a Nigerian actor and director.
He appears in both Hausa and English films and is dubbed “King of Kannywood” or “Sarki Ali” by the media. Kannywood is the Hausa film industry based in Kano, Nigeria. Ali Nuhu has appeared in over 500 Nollywood and Kannywood films and has received various awards.
Ali Nuhu is widely considered as one of the greatest and most significant actors in the history of both Hausa and Nigerian cinema. In terms of popularity, size, and money, he has been dubbed the world’s most successful Hausa cinema star.
Ali Nuhu Mohammed was born in Maiduguri, Borno State, in Nigeria’s northeast. His father, Nuhu Poloma, was from Gombe State’s Balanga local government area, and his mother, Fatima Karderam Digema, was from Borno State’s Bama local government area.
