Clémence Guichard (born October 30, 1982), better known as Clémence Poésy, is a French actress and fashion model. Poésy began performing on stage as a child and has worked in film and television since 1999, including some English-language films. She is most recognized for her roles in the Harry Potter film series as Fleur Delacour, Chlo in In Bruges, Rana in 127 Hours, Natasha Rostova in War and Peace, and Elise Wassermann in the 24-episode series The Tunnel.
She was born in L’Ha-les-Roses, a southern Paris neighbourhood, to actor-writer Étienne Guichard and a French teacher. Poésy chose her maiden name as her stage name. She was assigned to a Meudon alternative school.
Poésy’s first acting job came from her father when she was a toddler, and she got two lines at the age of 14. Malle Poésy-Guichard, her younger sister, is also an actor.

Poésy studied drama at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique (CNSAD, the French National Academy of Dramatic Arts), the Atelier International de Blanche Salant et Paul Weaver, and Paris Nanterre University after leaving La Source, the bilingual, alternative school she attended until the age of 16.
Poésy speaks French, English, plus a little Italian and Spanish. She splits her time between Paris and London, and she has travelled throughout Eastern Europe. She considers herself to be “quite firmly on the left” politically.
Liam, her son, was born in early 2017. She was pregnant with her second child in 2019, while filming Tenet. She was expecting her third child at the Deauville American Film Festival 2021.
Poésy’s first English-speaking part was as Mary, Queen of Scots in the BBC miniseries Gunpowder, Treason & Plot (2004), for which she won the 2005 Golden FIPA for actress in a TV Series and Serial.
Poésy made her Harry Potter debut as Fleur Delacour in The Goblet of Fire in 2005. She appeared in a variety of film and television productions in 2006 and 2007, including the 2007 miniseries War and Peace.
Poésy appeared in the Oscar-nominated picture In Bruges in 2008, opposite Colin Farrell and Harry Potter co-stars Ralph Fiennes and Brendan Gleeson. Poésy co-starred in Heartless with Jim Sturgess in 2009. She played Fleur Delacour again in both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows films. In the fourth season of the CW smash show Gossip Girl, she portrayed Chuck Bass’s new French lover, Eva.
Poésy co-starred with James Franco in Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours in 2010. Following its premiere at the 2010 Telluride Film Festival, 127 Hours was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2010.
